Dan and Lindsay are some of the sweetest, chillest, most genuinely amazing humans I know. While their wedding was slightly different than what they had originally planned (thanks to you-know-what), they still had huge smiles on their faces and knew that the only thing that mattered, in the end, is they got married. And they did just that.

Lindsay and her girls got ready in the coolest oceanside lofts in the little town of Astoria, Oregon. It was already getting hot when I met up with them, but as I say, always better than rain! Little kiddos ran around butt-naked as the bride squad sipped champagne and shared stories on their most recent summer camp adventure.

Once Lindsay was all ready to go, I drove her over to Chinook early for her first look with Dan on a secret beach. Dan, looking dapper in his tropical shirt and cotton pants, was nervous and excited to see his future wife. It was such a cute first look! We took some gorgeous portraits of them on this beautiful beach that made me forget we were in Washington and think we were in Hawaii. Plus, the amazing florals made by Michelle Young at Rhythm & Blooms added even more tropical vibes.

After the first look, we headed to Lindsay’s dad’s property in Chinook for the wedding. Her dad had made an amazing arch out of driftwood for their ceremony spot that was right by the water. Everyone was hanging out, grabbing a beer, and staying out of the sun until the ceremony.

Their ceremony was so special. Their dear friend, who was also part of the bridal party, officiated their wedding and spoke about how Dan and Lindsay fell in love on a backpacking trip together. The two read their vows and spoke sweet words of finding their love for one another and how excited they were for the rest of their lives together as husband and wife. Dogs roamed freely in between the guests and the bridal party, and Dan and Lindsay’s fur baby stayed right by their feet the entire time. Their parents and friends whooped and cheered as they had their first kiss and walked down the aisle.

Toasts were given, good food was eaten, and lots of delicious Oakshire Brewing beer was drunk. The sky turned into a hazy purple and pink and seemed to last forever as it slowly dipped below the ocean. A fire sparked up hilarious conversations between the groomsmen and Lindsay and her dad had a special little moment by the fire as the night ended.

Dan and Lindsay, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your big day! I was so honored. So much love to you too!

xoxo,

M.
