Natalia and Joe’s intimate wedding along the Sandy River was such a beautiful evening. They invited just their closest family members to celebrate and rented out a gorgeous AirBnb right along the river. They spent the morning relaxing, getting ready, and telling fun family stories.
They had a first look with their dog, Louis, as their only witness and it was the sweetest! Joe had spent hours working on leveling the sandy beach for their ceremony, and it was absolutely perfect. As the ceremony started, their officiant had each family member place a flower into the shape of a circle around the couple, to show their love and support of their marriage.
These two spoke sweet vows, and there were happy tears, some laughs, and some very tender moments shared by the couple and their family. And next to the soothing sound of the river, these two became husband and wife.
The rest of the evening was spent eating good food, some delicious cake and pastries, and the famous Onnis family dessert: homemade lemon sorbet. And, if you were an adult, you could partake in the tradition of pouring a shot of vodka into the cup to make it an alcoholic sorbet! It was absolutely DELICIOUS.
These days are what I live for: the sweet smiles between families, the kids running around, the bubbles, the polaroids, the little details, the way mom and dad wore their matching aprons as they cleaned up dishes, the couple snuggling their dog on the lawn as husband and wife–it’s just simple, sweet, genuine moments that take you right back to that day.
It was an absolute honor to capture your intimate wedding along the Sandy River. I hope you look back at these photos years and years from now and be able to say, “I remember it all.”
Love you two so so big!
xoxo,
M.
