I have lived in Oregon my whole life and I don’t think I’ll ever leave the state. Maybe Washington, but we are so spoiled here with Oregon’s beauty. I’ve always had a love of the outdoors and a desire to explore. And it’s always with my camera in-hand. The way that you can not only experience beautiful places, but be able to document them and have that memory documented, is one of the most amazing gifts. And I love not only documenting my own adventures, but doing that for my couples.
Being able to hike and explore new places with my couples has been a dream, and I’m so thankful I get to call this my job.
I call myself an extroverted introvert - I make deep connections with small groups, or a few people in a large group, rather than lots of connections with a large group. I think most photographers are like that. We dive deep with our couples and their closest people, because we want to give them our all. I laugh A LOT, I’m an Enneagram 2, definitely a morning person over a night person, and I have a sweet tooth for Prince Puckler’s and good chocolate.
I studied Journalism at the University of Oregon and absolutely loved it. Sometimes I think about going back to get my Master’s just because I loved the J school so much, haha. Aside from wedding and elopement photography, I freelance write and photograph for outdoor companies. It’s a blast creating content for outdoor brands.
I’m always down for a campfire, s’mores, and good PNW beer. On my days off, you can find me hiking to alpine lakes or along a river with my husband and our pack. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. I will start singing Christmas carols November 1st. Sometimes I randomly play them in July (no joke, haha). I bake a damn good pumpkin cheesecake for Thanksgiving, too.
