Clear Lake Oregon Engagement // Brandy & David

I met up with Brandy and David on the most perfect late summer evening at Clear Lake, Oregon for their engagement photos. We had originally planned to shoot at Proxy Falls, but a fire had closed down the trail. So we opted for this gorgeous lake, and it was gorgeous! We wandered around the little resort, watched kayakers, and played around in the forest.

The Location: Clear Lake, Oregon

Clear Lake is the headwaters of the Mckenzie River, which is iconic in Oregon. Its pristine water is due to the frigid cold temperature which prevents algae growth. Couple that with no motorized vehicles and sunshine and you get that gorgeous vivid blue!

If you’re looking for an adventure, kayaks and rowboats are available to rent at the resort. You can rent by the hour or grab one for the full day. Once you paddle out, you can see old petrified trees, it’s pretty cool!

Rustic cabins are also available to rent if you want to make a weekend out of the adventure.
