Katie and Sean got ready together as the morning light streamed through the tall pine trees. Using their  Subaru Forester as their bride and groom suite, Sean helped Katie put in her gold floral hairpiece and she pinned on his boutonniere. After the final touches, we started to explore the forest. As an Oregon elopement photographer, you live for morning light like this: warm, buttery, light streaks. Katie and Sean were so excited and were smiling at each other the whole time, it was so easy to capture their love. Also, it was absolutely gorgeous wandering around all the tall trees! And while this wasn’t Plan A due to the wildfires, this day turned out to be absolutely perfect.

After some bridal portraits, these two had wanted to share their vows privately with one another before they had their actual backyard ceremony with their closest friends and family as guests. I love when couples decide to share intimate moments with one another, and as an elopement photographer it feels like such an honor to capture it and be present with them.

After Katie and Sean read their vows, we made our way to Katie’s aunt’s house for their backyard ceremony. Everyone was anxiously awaiting our arrival, so excited to be there to witness these two getting married. The ceremony was short and sweet, with one of their good friends officiating under an arbor the family had decorated. After the ceremony, we had celebratory champagne, a very impressive brunch bar, and a delicious pie for dessert!

Congrats again Katie and Sean, it was such an honor to capture your forest vows and your intimate backyard wedding.

xoxo,

M.
