The Location: Cape Kiwanda, Pacific City, Oregon
Pacific City is a quiet little coastal town, perfect if you’re looking for an intimate getaway. While there is limited fine dining in the area (I recommend Meridian and Dew), there are a few sweet spots for a romantic elopement dinner. Or, hit up the Pelican Brewing Company for a celebratory beer! There are lots of cute little coffee shops too, if morning coffee celebrations is more your thing. Stimulus Coffee and Grateful Bread are two noteworthy spots.
If you’re looking for accommodations, the Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa is a luxury oceanfront hotel that is the perfect home base for your Pacific City elopement. Be sure to check out their inviting oceanfront hot tubs. If you’re looking for an AirBnb, here are a few recs:
Sunset Retreat:Oceanfront Modern Home with Sauna
Cape Retreat with Ocean Views and Hot tub
The beach itself is a popular spot for surfing and beach bonfires. Climbing the famous dune is also a must! While the areas around the cliff edges are mostly fenced off for safety, it’s still a gorgeous spot to view the ocean and explore. Nessa, George, and I just explored around the base of the orange cliffs, and they made for the perfect backdrop. There’s even some tide pools to explore!
We ended their cozy evening with a beach bonfire and some Pelican brews. It was the coziest, sweetest evening. You really can’t beat the Oregon coast for elopements!
