As an Oregon elopement photographer, it doesn’t get much sweeter than two people promising forever together on top of a mountain. And that’s just what Kristen and Armando did! It was such an intimate, laid-back, intentional afternoon.

When we met up at the trailhead, we instantly hit it off. We shared our favorite hikes (this being one of them!) talked about our upcoming summer plans, and how excited they were for this special moment together.

The sun was beaming down and it was surprisingly warm for a late May afternoon, as we made our way to the top of the mountain. If you’re an elopement photographer in Oregon, then you know how rare it is for sunshine in May!

We danced around the top of the mountain as the sun made its way slowly over the treetop. As it began to set, Kristen and Armando shared sweet vows, and the sky began to turn a deep, hazy blue behind them. They even shared some delicious chocolate chip cookies in lieu of a cake to celebrate!

We, of course, had to do some backpacking photos at the end, and it was such a fun way to end their gorgeous mountain elopement. You just really can’t beat those soft, soft early summer sunsets.
